Every year the kids and I make a fun treat for Memorial Day. We’ve made all sorts of fun goodies. I’m all about keeping things simple especially for holidays. Here is a list of fun Patriotic desserts that we have made through the years. I’ve made all of them, but I’ve gotten the recipe from these awesome blogs. Enjoy!

1. Red, White, and Blue Cake by The Snippykit

This year we made the above box recipe cake and added fun red, white, and blue sprinkles to our homemade frosting. We even had the idea of adding sparklers for the candles. Note to self: don’t light the sparklers. It makes the cake taste funny. Other than that, the bottom has of this cake was yummy. lol.

These yummy chocolate dipped pretzels are a perfect snack. These are an easy, go to snack or dessert for kids. No mess and easy to make.

This is another example of a simple treat. I love these wafers. Dipping them in chocolate and sprinkles give it the perfect patriotic look.

I love these Red White and Blue Parfaits not only because they are so stinking easy and loved by everyone but because they are healthy too. Simply use strawberries, blueberries, fat free plain or vanilla Greek yogurt and granola.

As I said before, I love to get the kids involved in our baking. These are also super easy to make when you’re going for semi-homemade and want to involve the kids. I just use a box brownie and make our own icing, but you could also purchase icing as well.

This may look easy, but this recipe is so simple and easy anyone can make it. All you need is a pan, melting chocolates, and sprinkles or m&m’s to decorate it. This is another fun recipe to do with your kids.

Aren’t these so fun! I love the straw handle for the rice crispy treats. If you don’t want to do all out like these ones, adding red, white, and blue sprinkles to your rice crispy treats is a fun way to spruce them up as well.

We love baking cookies, adding ice cream to make ice cream sliders. Our favorite is using snicker doodles or chocolate chip cookies.
