Peanut Butter Cookies
COOKIE INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup crunchy peanut butter – you can also use smooth
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1½ teaspoons baking soda
PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking pan with parchment paper or a non-stick baking mat.
In a bowl, cream butter, peanut butter, and sugars together; beat in the eggs.
In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir into butter mixture.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls and put on baking sheets. Flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross pattern.
Bake for 10 minutes or until cookies begin to brown. Every oven is different so it may take longer or shorter. I suggest starting at 8 minutes and then watch them from there. Just be careful not to overbake them.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly on a baking sheet. Then move to the cookie sheet to cool completely. Cookies will flatten a little as they cool.
