Summer is here! I am jumping for joy and stressing out at the same time. Keeping the kids busy can be a challenge. Summer movies are the big thing here, but check out some fun things to do in San Antonio June 2019.

Doseum Family Fun Night : June 4 & 18

The first Tuesday of every month is free family night. Wristbands will be given out at 4 pm at the entrance. Wristbands guarantee entrance for Free family Night. If you haven’t been to the Doseum with your kids, this place is a must. My kids love the little people area and the spy area. There are so many fun things inside and outside the museum to do. You won’t regret coming here.

McNay HEB Free General Admission: June 6, June 20, & June 27

Every Thursday from 4-9 PM to enjoy FREE general admission courtesy of H-E-B! Remember: kids and teens under the age of 19 always get in free. If there is a banner exhibition at this time, the banner exhibition fee will apply to adults.

Art in the Park, June 7

Join Hemisfair each month from 7-9p for a night full of diverse artistic activities for kids. Enjoy painting with Pinot’s Palette, balloon making by Mandie’s Balloons, music by Cello Vida (violin/cello duo), face painting by IPaintU by Brie, crafts by Inspire Community Fine Art Center, and a popup by Spare Parts.

Get Out and Play SA: June 8

Get Out and Play SA is a FREE family-friendly event from 10am-2pm on Saturday, June 8th at Confluence Park filled with nature-based activities and live animal encounters to encourage families to enjoy the outdoors…because nature provides the best toys! There will be a special guest presentation by the amazing paleontologist Dinosaur George.

Movie in the Park at Tower of Americas: June 8

Grab a blanket and enjoy a family-friendly motion picture The Lego Movie under the stars every month. Cost: Free Times: Movies start at sunset* Check their Facebook page for any weather cancellations or delays.

Big Rig Petting Zoo: June 10

Summer Reading Program 2019 Kick Off event is our annual BIG RIG PETTING ZOO! This is your chance to get up close and personal with big vehicles of all types, sit inside, sit in the shoves/buckets and get GREAT photos. Our Public Works Department will be back with even more vehicles this year. Tiger Sanitation is joining us along with the Leon Valley Fire Department, Leon Valley Police Department and other big vehicle owners!

Summer Movie Series: June 11 & 12

Santikos has a free movie summer series every Tuesday and Wednesday through July. See The Lego Movie 2 for FREE at #MySantikos June 11 & 12 at 10am, part of our 2019 Free Summer Movies. Only at Palladium, Silverado, Rialto, Mayan Palace, Embassy, Northwest, Casa Blanca & Cibolo. Seats are first come first served. Arrive early for best seating. Groups are welcome!

San Antonio Donut Fest: Jun 15 & 16

Donut miss out on the San Antonio Donut Fest, happening Saturday, June 15th at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts on the Will Naylor Smith River Walk Plaza. Feast on pastries from dozens of local bakeries, sip on some deliciously brewed coffee, fresh mimosas and more. Kid-friendly beverages available too! Plus, we’ll make you smile with some Saturday morning cartoons, a cereal bar, games, music and so much more. Must buy tickets to attend

Donuts with Dad: June 15

Join us Saturday, June 15th at 9 a.m. at the food court at Rolling Oaks Mall for a special morning as we celebrate DAD! We will also have a Father’s Day arts & crafts for the kids to make Dad. Please RSVP to Kimberly.LaQue@washingtonprime.com

Fishing Fun, June 20

Learn the basics of fishing, including baiting a hook, casting, and how to take a fish off the hook. All supplies provided, including fishing poles. Catch and release only. Class is limited to 15 participants.
