McNay HEB Free General Admission: Aug 1, 8, 15, 22

Every Thursday from 4-9 PM to enjoy FREE general admission courtesy of H-E-B! Remember: kids and teens under the age of 19 always get in free. If there is a banner exhibition at this time, the banner exhibition fee will apply to adults.

Art in the Park: Aug 2

Join Hemisfair each month for a free night full of diverse artistic activities for kids and live music. Art partners will include Pinot’s Palette, balloon making by Mandie’s Balloons, face painting by IPaintU by Brie, crafts by Inspire Community Fine Art Center, and a popup by Spare Parts. The event is 7-9p at Hemisfair park.

PokemonGo Community Day at the San Antonio Zoo: Aug 3

Get out and play together in your local community for Pokemon GO Day! Celebrate what it means to be a part of the Pokemon GO community and make new friends along the way. Event happens from 4-7p.

Doseum Family Fun Night : Aug 6

The first Tuesday of every month is free family night. Wristbands will be given out at 4 pm at the entrance. Wristbands guarantee entrance for Free family Night. If you haven’t been to the Doseum with your kids, this place is a must. My kids love the little people area and the spy area. There are so many fun things inside and outside the museum to do. You won’t regret coming here.

Fleet Feet Training Kick-off Demo Day: August 10

FLEET FEET SAN ANTONIO – THE QUARRY Try out the latest and greatest shoes, accessories and nutrition from our top brands. This is your chance to take a real world test-drive of many of our top shoes and new shoes. It’s a great opportunity to prepare for the upcoming marathon season by finding new product, a different shoe, or testing some nutrition that you haven’t tried.

7AM – DOORS OPEN

7:30 – Organized demo run: run 3-5 miles with a group and your choice of try-on shoes from our vendors

8AM – Information Session on Fleet Feet’s Fall training programs (5k, 10k, 13.1, 26.2)7-9AM – Water rower compeition with Orange Theory: drop in and try your hand at rowing while you try on some new shoes!

This is a come-and-go event. You are welcome to participate & demo product anytime between 7AM-10AM.

Movie in the Park at the Tower of Americas: Aug 10

Grab a blanket and enjoy the family-friendly motion picture Wreck it Ralph: Ralph Breaks the Internet under the stars every month. Cost: Free Times: Movies start at sunset*

Family Flicks: Lu Over the Wall, Aug 23

Suggested for ages 8 and up. New kid Kai is talented but adrift, spending his days sulking and isolated in a small fishing village after his family moves from Tokyo. When he demonstrates a proficiency at making music on his synthesizer, his classmates invite him to join their nascent garage band, but their practice sessions soon bring an unexpected guest: Lu, a young mermaid whose fins turn to feet when she hears the beats and whose singing causes humans to compulsively dance, whether they want to or not. Films begin at sundown. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics. Pets are not permitted on the San Antonio Museum of Art campus; however, service animals are permitted at the Museum. FREE, Event is from 8:30-10:30p
